Coffee Maker - Bunn Coffee Makers The King Of the Coffee Makers
Ahh Coffee. I love coffee, I have since I was a small child. I’m Scandinavian in heritage and it seems they drink a lot of coffee , at least the ones I grew up with. I was addicted early as I indicated and I have not looked back.
To be honest, I drink far to much coffee, many cups a day usually. That’s way down from my pots per day consumption of my younger days. My mother still measures her consumption in pots per day. Anyway I’m addicted, if I do not get my caffeine I get the dreaded headaches. I still love coffee, I do not have many vices but coffee is one of them.
I’m continuously questing for new, better and faster coffee makers. Ask my wife, my garage is littered with coffee makers that do not make my grade or fall from grace.
I have used so many brands of makers over the years I have lost track.
So what makes a coffee maker fall from grace:
• If it leaks it’s toast. I hate leaking. If the coffee overflows the filter cup, the most likely culprit, or the mechanism to stop the drip if you want a cup midstream leaks. Any Leak it’s out to the garage.
• If the pot itself pours poorly. Again, no dripping or leaking. If it’s not a good pouring pot, out to the garage.
• If it does not have a burner to warm the coffee, it out. I hate thermos like brewers.
I always come back to my favorite the Bunn family. They are not a cheap coffee makers and they do not make espresso. They do one thing really well, they make drip coffee, they make it consistently and they make it really fast, a pot in about 3 minutes.
Bunn Coffee Maker Pro’s
• Great for parties or large get togethers, no thermos’s to use, your just 3 minutes away form a new pot when needed. I love that.
• Nice big bucket to empty the grounds, I hate the coffee makers that swivel out and make you go through contortions to get the ground. With the Bunn you grab, pull out and dump. It’s great.
• Heated burner to keep the coffee hot, big plus in my book. Nice illuminated burner switch on my model
• Pots are cheap to replace around $10.00
Bunn Coffee Maker Con’s
• The Bunn’s use a higher filter, if you use the generic filter you will end up with ground everywhere, in your coffee in the pot, in the filter container, it’s ugly.
• Pot can be brittle, be careful, I’ve broke a few cleaning these in the sink and accidentally letting them slip, I’ve messed up a few non-Bunn pots that are out in my garage too.
• It’s on all the time sucking power to maintain a hot reserve to get that 3 minutes coffee if your looking to save power this might not be for you.
Bunn makes a large array of coffee maker for the home and for the restaurant. I suggest if you serious about coffee to give one a try.

Comments
Unless they have changed, Bunn coffee makers keep the water hot at all times. A big power waster. Get rid of it and get a mr coffee or another elcheepo coffee pot.
(drip type) I liveis Springfield, il former home of the bunn. They assemble them here now but the parts come from china or other foreign country.

Excellasys, I couldn't agree more about the Bunn Coffee Maker! Best on the market. Mine recently began to leak from the tank. Have you ever experienced this problem? If so, let me know. Its a quick fix!
